An aging Taiwanese seamstress in Chinatown risks jeopardizing her family business in order to maintain her reputation as a master tailor. With her daughter-in-law insisting that the tailor shop finds a replacement, she refuses and instead challenges her young apprentice. In order to prove herself, the seamstress must meet the demands of the tough new clientele of her New York City business or face the end of her career. With the reputation and honor she carries with pride on the line, she fights to hold onto to the only existence she knows.
