I had the joy of working on an exciting new proof of concept titled Lady Justice earlier this month as the 2nd AD. Thank you to Saray D. Guidetti and Mónica Bermudez for bringing me on to the amazing, kick ass team!
From Producer/Writer/Director extraordinaire, Saray D. Guidetti, Lady Justice is an action drama set in Los Angeles about a woman named Alice who wants to put an end to sex trafficking. After years in captivity and searching for a way to help others from falling into predators’ hands, she realizes that only she can bring justice, but it must be done behind a mask and in secret.
This short film picks up with Alice staking out an operation. Several men just received a shipment, a van full of women and children from South America. Alice intervenes by taking the men out with her tranquilizer gun and restrains them with zip-ties. But as she enters the warehouse, where the women are led, she is caught off guard and a man drags her towards the head boss. The recognition of this man’s face, a face deeply engrained in her mind, brings up memories of when she was in captivity, which then refuels her to strike back with vengeance.
